March 1, 2017 – Ash Wednesday
I will remember this! I have to and will accept this reality! I will condition and prepare for it! I have lost some of my body parts to dust already and may lose some more and eventually my whole body. Have to control and let go of physical vanity. What’s more important is functionality of body and mind. Thy will be done!

Also, from the Catholic / Christain religion perspective, Ash Wednesday reminds us that we are dust and to dust we shall return and that therefore the entire life of a Christian should be marked by works of self-denial and generosity.
